News 07/12/07 We have decided to release the independent external evaluation of our Welfare Rights Service and other local advice providers in D&G The evaluation is available in Word format here and in adobe PDF format here . 30/10/06 We have held back the independent external evaluation of our Welfare Rights Service and other local advice providers in D&G due to the partnership working with Dumfries and Galloway Council's Advice Service (DAGCAS) under the www.11m.org.uk benefit uptake project. This project is ending on 31/12/06 so we will then be free to publish and distribute this evaluation. The local voluntary sector will not be surprised to know that problems were found in other advice agencies and their ability to deliver benefit advice in D&G. 27th May 06 God i'm excited. Would you believe we have just had our first Housing benefit appeal ever (despite us submitting hundreds), well since 2001 when HB appeals became independent and held by an independent tribunal. The appeal has been pending for almost an unbelievable three years, it was won by the client. 02/10/2005 Message board hacked once again by a Turkish idiot, mainly due to server problems, new improved message board will be back very soon. 1st August 05 Problems updating the web site due to a new project ( www.11m.org.uk ) taking up more time than expected. Any questions or e-mails will be dealt with as normal. 7th May 04 After almost 8 months of complaining and waiting for D&G Council to answer the many Housing Benefit complaints we have had in and pending their reply / excuses. We have now got their excuses for poor performance and delay's. We are now at long last able to progress these complaints to the Government Ombudsman. Part of the complaint will now be the unreasonable delays in answering the original complaint. 16th March 04 Problems with e-mails not getting through to us lately, if you have sent an e-mail over the last two weeks and have had no reply please re-send it now as problem sorted.
